AN INTERNATIONAL RANGE
Latin word meaning « I surpass myself » and « I lead », Anstisto is an avant-garde concept exploring the international potential of Malbec which has been the flagship grape variety from Cahors (South West of France) for 2000 years and from Mendoza (Argentina) for 200 years.
A NAME
Georges Vigouroux owns several estates in Cahors and is the creator of great Malbecs. He has been passionate for 30 years by this grape variety, its aromatic strength and its rich black colour.
This passion about the Malbec led Bertrand-Gabriel Vigouroux - Georges’ son and current winemaker and manager of the company – to Mendoza in Argentina to learn more about the history and success of the grape in this country since it had been brought by the French agronomist Michel Pouget in 1868.
Furthermore Bertrand-Gabriel Vigouroux owns a vineyard in Buzet. There, he has chosen to introduce Malbec into the traditional grape varietals of the appellation, and Malbec proves to be a great blending partner.
His international experience of Malbec convinced Bertrand-Gabriel of the great interest in creating Antisto, a unique range which will please the Malbec lovers and those who want to discover the grape variety and its best historical terroirs.
