A COMMON ORIGIN
In the late 1860’s, Malbec was exported from Cahors (Fr), where it had been grown for more than 2000 years, to Mendoza (Ar) where it proved to be very well adapted to this region. Cahors is therefore the birthplace of Malbec.

2 CONTINENTS
Nowadays, Cahors is the only French region where the Malbec is grown as the main grape with a 4000 hectares vineyard. It is also the main grape grown in Mendoza with a 40 000 hectares vineyard.

A COMMON GRAPE
There is a growing interest in Malbec all around the world. Malbec from Mendoza and Malbec from Cahors will be amongst the leaders of international grape varieties in the years to come.
